Purchased the Trousers and matching Jacket, Im a 41 inch chest , 5ft 9in and a 35 inch waist so ordered the jacket in 2XL and the trousers in XL. Fit like a dream, not to baggy or tight. Quality looks amazing with enough pockets for all needs. Will be trying the clothes out shortly. All in all a happy shopper

Good quality for the dollar I’d say they are just as well made as the expensive stuff . Good fit but go a size up definitely on the jacket Light weight enough Performed well in wet weather Over all they feel great to wear

Great product. I ordered slightly bigger due to reading reviews of them being smaller. I did not need to. They are quality made and as I always have to, I will get them altered to fit my short leg.

I was looking forward to getting these trousers as the spec looked fantastic and the price was unbelievable (I bought the jacket and trousers as a set at a price almost a third of what I would expect to pay just for trousers! This Texpeed suit is clearly ‘styled’ on the Alpinestars Halo suit which costs £800, inc back protector, and which I also own. I have served in the military before becoming a business analytics specialist. The jobs are not directly related but I know the importance of good quality kit to do a specific job and how to quantify value. I love riding my BMW R1200GS, analytics, and riding my R1200GS...did I say that one already? Summary ----------- A great, cheap, adventure trouser for an intro into adventure bike riding but NOT, I repeat, NOT for all-round riding at motorway speeds on open roads. I've returned these trousers due to quality issues. Kit --- On arrival, I inspected first for size and then I stripped down the trousers to inspect the armour, removable lining, material, and build quality. Size ----- I'm 90kg, 6 foot tall and have a 32 inch inside leg. I bought the L-Large size trouser and they fit perfectly. I have room to move but they are snug enough to not move when riding. The are long enough to go over my HIAX military issue boots. Armour --------- The armour from Texpeed is ok, I've seen far worse, but it is so thin, just shoving an elbow or arm against a wall tells you that you are going to hurt if you come off. It might be upto grade 1 but that's a low bar and they do not appear to have tried to exceed it - but then the trouser comes in at a budget price and I think that this is absolutely acceptable. I use D30, and Viscotec before that, in everything. I hate cheap armour because it will do a job just not the job of preventing the shock passing through your body which results in indirect damage, in my opinion. I'm not talking full on crash either. I'm talking about adventure riding spills; tree whip, 20-30mph slides and stump-offs (tree stump > wheel > You're off. Such impacts are what armour is for and even cheap armour should protect you from trauma like this. Removable lining. --------------------- The removable lining is quilted and VERY lightweight. It will keep you warmer than not having it BUT it is so thin it will not last long with regular use; it will wear in the seat area first and very quickly rip from that point, next will be the knee area, I suspect, as here is where the material is constantly stressed in the riding position and against the armour. If this is your daily commute suit, you will need to replace it (the whole garment) in about a year or two. The fastenings are lightweight poppers. You will get tired of taking off a wet trouser and bringing the lining with you as the poppers just give up at the slightest pull. Material ---------- The outer material is great. Very good Cordura and enhanced strength on the seat. I think, as a pant, these are really rugged; Ride to Snowden, WALK to the top of Snowden and back, Ride home. Fan-bloody-tastic. I opted for the light coloured material. This works well but they will need washing more frequently that the black option. The velcro adjustments are really good BUT...I think the velcro is not heavy duty and will fray and deteriorate very quickly; effectively, it will rip itself apart as cheap, lightweight, velcro does. The ventilation is awesome. two massive meshed panels at the front. Each panel rolls down into a 'secret' pocket which uses velcro to keep stashed. The only issue with this is that, if you're travelling to your adventure destination with them stashed and it suddenly rains (UK), you cannot close the vents without stopping to unwrap them. You can simply unzip each side of each of the two vents and get ventilation. I'm just pointing out that you need to plan ahead. The ventilation system is the reason I bought this suit; I wanted a lightweight, light duty, occassional, suit to wear several times a year, not a suit for daily use. Build quality ---------------- There is double stitching everywhere that it was considered required. Double stitching is not throughout. This suit is not going to last long, in my opinion, in daily use as the stitching will give and that will be that. Pulling a suit on and off regularly, getting on and off the bike, walking and riding are activities that all exert stress on stitching. There is a reason why 'professional' gear costs what it does. A lot of my textile gear is over 10 years old and only now do I need to replace some of it due to wear and tear; my Leather gear is still going strong. Outro ------- If I bought one texpeed trouser and one texpeed jacket every two years for 10 years, I would have spent more than the cost of a halo suit and had none of the innovative fun that the halo brings. I hope that this helps someone make an informed choice. I initially liked these trousers as a cheap, lightweight and light duty riding suit for occasional use. I thought that I could live with them and use my £800 Halo suit for serious riding but, I can't. I just cannot consider having to remove/replace the armour for washing knowing that the stitching and material will rip quite soon and render the cheap suit useless.

As per my review of the jacket - Very comfortable. I have the jacket with the matching trousers and to be honest, at first I was worried about looking like a rider of a certain German manufactured motorcycle. Now that I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks in the lovely North-West Autumn, I couldn't care less! I have had Texpeed items before and once again, they do not disappoint. They are very warm with the liners in, if anything, a bit too warm for anything other than winter or very cold weather. With the liners removed, they have been just right in temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees. They are definitely waterproof as I arrived at work last week after a journey down the M6 in horrible rain but yet I was bone dry underneath. I would happily recommend these items.

The trousers are good quality and nice looking but too small in the leg with the inner lining in, hubby found them quite an effort to put on so we was going to send them back, but we didn't because we would have to pay return costs which was over £10 and we didn't want to pay out money and be out of pocket with not having an item of clothing, so he will keep them but not use the inner, so beware if you buy and not suitable it costs you to return
