I bought this as some hot weather summer gear , my normal kit is just too extreme for the high temps we have had recently . Not used in the rain as of yet and not expecting it to be totally dry but then very little kit is going to be .. Jacket neck has a fastener .. very useful and is not too tight. Adjustable waist straps makes for a good fit .. easy enough to ride with the jacket open a bit .. good airflow in 30 degrees and it doesn't try and balloon out ! I fitted the shoulder guards from my old jacket as they are a bit larger but the standard padding will do .. in the event of an accident then you obviously get what you pay for but this is a sensible priced jacket that does seem to be well made . I would guess that if this is going to be your main gear ( jacket and trousers ) then some richa over waterproof trousers at least should be in your backpack .. i've had many years of biking and separate waterproof gear is what has kept me dry . Over all though im impressed by this jacket and the trousers ... the point of me actually doing a review speaks volumes ! Normal size for me in this is slightly tight , i would struggle fitting this and the liner in a winter setup so perhaps a size up if you are going all year round .. normal extra clothing in winter would make it uncomfortably tight basically . If buying this then check out the trousers .. they do need a larger size though if used in winter but for summer they are a great fit . Edit .. now used in moderate rain and i stayed dry .. a downpour though and this like a lot of jackets and your going to get wet ... trousers are not water proof to the same degree as the jacket .

Purchased this jacket as I’m new to the two wheeled world. I used it for my CBT and cannot describe how warm it was. Very, very happy with this. The zip is clean and the jacket it padded well. This Texpeed M/C jacket, for me is a jem, I like a loose fit in the summer, vents in the top of shoulders, Phone Pocket easy to get at. Fit is a little loose allowing air to circulate without the lining, and on colder days the attachable lining I found toasty. The material the jacket is made of is waterproof, and feels strong without too much weight. and the stitching has not failed yet. Id say their sizing is correct including the lining. One very good thought, the zip is protected and unlikely to scratch your fuel tank. Definitely I am happy with my purchase. Thank you Texpeed.

The jacket serves everything as required- but I do have some notes. The pockets are quite small, this makes it difficult to reach inside for keys as example when you have gloves on. Even without. Additionally, it came much smaller than expected. I bought a M and I'm 5'10 65kg. Not a big guy at all. Other than that it does go around me and keeps me safe and warm. Maybe buy one size larger than you usually would.
